Pastor Schlie was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He attended Indiana University for post-secondary education, majoring in history and medieval/classical studies. He went on to graduate from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne with his Master of Divinity.
Pastor Schlie and his wife Keegan have four children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and their golden retriever, hosting friends, hiking, and an occasional round of golf.
